The Stuff Section

Picture
Stuff is an insight to ideas and subject matters derived from quotes from other authors or parts of a poem, books, an article I read in a newspaper or magazine, or a seed that was planted in my brain.

The section is basically (and selfishly) used as a personal reference. It may also be a glimpse of  how my brain pattern(s) functions at any given time: sad, seething with rage, lonely, could be happy, usw (und so weiter...etc.). I devoted sub-sections to the insightful musings of Oscar Wilde, Ayn Rand, Rainer Maria Rilke, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, George Carlin and Pasckie, a friend I have yet to meet. Their 'stuff' reflects a great portion of my being, and an interesting read that provides food for thought.

A friend of mine I call P-san made an interesting remark about my way of thinking.  She once told a joke and everyone laughed at the same time. My reaction was delayed; it took  five seconds. She said: "Pat, your mind has to process what was conveyed in 3 languages: English, Tagalog and German."

My brain picked the language I could understand and relate to what was being said, and thus, I caught on, albeit a little late. This is likely the reason I seem obsessed or distracted to most people; I tend to not be quick on the uptake.

My precious mother once said that her 7th child (that would be me) was the 'silent but deadly' type. I believe she may have been referring to my dealings with the male sex. Someone once said that my mind interested him. That may be so for him, but the workings of my brain would be enough to take to the bottle to avoid from becoming deranged.

This site is just 'stuff' for some and boring for others, but they are words I've collected and valued. So, welcome  to it. . .
